Magnified Moments (Doring Photography) | About
About the Photographer

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to look around this website. My name is Adrienne Doring and I've been taking pictures ever since my mom placed a camera in my little hands when I was perhaps six years old. I recently moved from downtown Kansas City, Missouri, to Prairie Village, Kansas, and I love taking pictures throughout the metro area. Photo shoots are energizing for me! It is so fun to just walk around with people and capture their personalities. When I come home, I hop on my computer and do my best to create delightful artsy photographs!

I have a business degree from the University of Kansas and spent five years in the working world before leaving in 2009 to stay home. My work for the Kauffman Foundation and for the Catholic Church were very meaningful but now I want to work from home so I am pursuing my life-long love of photography!

My life revolves around my sweet babies and dear husband. My time is also filled with spiritual commitments, enjoying time with family and friends, volunteer work, reading, running, and learning to cook.

The number of clients I will take on is limited to preserve both the quality of your pictures and our family time.

About Magnified Moments

"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my savior." (Luke 1:46-47)

I love this passage from the Bible and have been stuck on this word "magnify". I want to glorify God through my photography and I want to put the magnifying glass on God's beautiful creation: human life. One night "Magnified Moments" came to me as I was trying to figure out what to call my business. After an online search to see if anyone already had the name, I found out that there is a writing exercise by the same name in which a writer chooses one moment in time and describes it in great detail. I thought that was the perfect description for what I want to do with my photography! My goal is to capture a special moment in time and creatively accentuate the details to create a beautiful picture that you and your family will treasure forever.
